AANR-Midwest News
Letter from the President -
March 28, 2008
Hello everyone!
SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!!! Even though the calendar beginning awaits us several week several weeks away, summer like weather has found us in the Midwest in spite of a prolonged chilly spring. And in the clubs and among the members of our Region, nudist activities move into full swing. Enjoy and make the most of this nudist friendly time of the year.
First of all, on behalf of the AANR Midwest Officers and Board, I congratulate and thank Susan Palmer, owner, and the members of Rock Haven Lodge in Murfreesboro Tennessee for hosting our 2008 Spring Conference the last weekend in April. Their generous hospitality was most accommodating and very much appreciated by all in attendance.
Next, I remind all of the clubs and members of our Midwest Region of the two Conventions that Turtle Lake Resort in Union City, during the months of July and August.
- Our 55th Annual Midwest Region Convention and General Assembly will be held July 13th through July 20th.
- Our 77th Annual National Convention and Annual Meeting will be held August 10th through August 17th.
Both of these AANR Conventions--regional and national--will take place just three weeks apart under the common theme:
"Cruise into Nudism on the S.S. Turtle Lake in 2008."
Many exciting events and great entertainment have been scheduled for both Conventions.
While I encourage all of our AANR Midwest members and clubs to make plans to attend and participate in one or better yet both of these gatherings at Turtle Lake Resort, I give special emphasis to our Midwest Region Convention. It offers camping couples and families a very affordable week full of activities at a maximum cost of $160.00 for the entire Convention period, excluding food and beverages, of course transportation. We have lots of activities planned for children of all ages: for YAMS (ages 6-11) and JAMS (ages 12-18), and not least for all of us adult-age kids. Please see the Convention page elsewhere on this website for more details regarding Convention costs and the Convention Schedule.
Finally, I invite you, whether an AANR Midwest member or simply a visitor, to return often to this website. In the upcoming weeks and months exciting changes will be taking place on our website that will make it much more user friendly and will offer a more dynamic/interactive site that can be used frequently by most if not all of our clubs and members in communicating with one another. We especially want our clubs to buy into and make use of this website, contributing photos that can be used and posting significant events that they would like others to be aware of. This will help us to make our site a more interesting and informative place to visit often.
Thank you for your interest and attention. I look forward to the opportunity of perhaps greeting and meeting many of you at one or both of our Conventions this summer.
We will be in touch again, soon.
Peace, naturally. . .
Harvey Hanna
